Cancer-targeted viruses

Oncolytic viruses are designed to infect cancer cells, replicate within them, and break those cells down as they spread. In principle, they can do two things at once: attack the tumor directly and recruit the immune system against it.

Most viral therapies have been built as fixed constructs for broad patient populations, rather than tuned to any one tumor. Minuteman is building a different path: personalized oncolytic virus approaches matched to the biology of an individual tumor.
